About me

Hi, I’m Brittany. An American gal living in the land of the eternal blue sky, Mongolia, with my husband and 2 daughters. I teach English language arts to high school students at the American School of Ulaanbaatar (ASU).

I have worked at the elementary and secondary level and have also been a university/ college counselor. I advise the ‘college application essay’ ECA and I’m also the Harvard Model United Nations advisor, here at ASU.

I have an asset-based approach to education, believing that the strongest communities are created when our personal strengths, culture, and background experiences are honored. I believed Mrs. Rita Pierson when she said, “kids don’t learn from people they don’t like.” On a daily basis, I want to facilitate learning experiences that are relevant, rigorous and have real-world applications. My ultimate goal is to always help students grow, holistically, and are well- prepared for their 21st-century lives.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, practicing yoga, listening to podcasts and spending time in nature with my family.
